“Weird Al” Yankovic Stars in New Clairo Music Video for “Terrapin”

Clairo’s career continues to unfold in wonderful ways. Our latest example of this is her new video for “Terrapin,” for which she tapped the amazingly talented Ayo Edibiri to make her music video directorial debut and music comedy legend “Weird Al” Yankovic to star in it.

Much like the song itself, the visual feels like it was plucked from the creative landscape for musical performances of the 60s and 70s. “Weird Al” plays the singing role of Clairo, while the actual Clairo does make a cameo as one of the individuals lounging around while the song is being performed. It’s paying homage to yesteryear in a playful way, doing enough to make it fun but doing enough steer away from cheesy territory.

The visual was created with the help of production company Curfew. Check out Clairo’s music video for “Terrapin” above.
