Black Sabbath Original Lineup Reunites for Ozzy Osbourne’s Final Show

The original Black Sabbath lineup of Geezer Butler, Tony Iommi, and Bill Ward is coming together one last time to help bid farewell to lead singer Ozzy Osbourne’s live performing days in their hometown of Birmingham.

The Back to the Beginning charity concert will take place in their hometown at the stadium of their favorite soccer team, Aston Villa, on July 5. Hitting the stage that day at Villa Park is a star-studded collection of Rock bands like Metallica, Slayer, Pantera, Gojira, Alice in Chains, Lamb of God, Anthrax, and Mastodon. The show will also include performances from Billy Corgan of Smashing Pumpkins, Jonathan Davis of Korn, Slash and Duff McKagan of Guns N’ Roses, Rage Against the Machine’s Tom Morello, and Ozzy himself doing a solo show.

Ozzy Osbourne shared via the social media post announcing this special event:

It’s my time to go Back to the Beginning….time for me to give back to the place where I was born. How blessed am I to do it with the help of people whom I love. Birmingham is the true home of metal. Birmingham Forever.

All profits will go to Cure Parkinson’sBirmingham Children’s Hospital, and Acorn Children’s Hospice.
