Hinds are officially back. The co-founders, co-vocalists, co-guitarists and co-songwriters behind Hinds, Carlotta Cosials and Ana Perrote, are keeping the Spanish Indie Rock band alive following the departure of their drummer and bassist and today they’re announcing their fourth album today, entitled VIVA HINDS.
Beyond the lineup change, they also had to overcome the setbacks that came with moving on from their management team, revenue losses caused by the lockdowns during the pandemic, and no longer having a label… while that could stop anyone in their tracks, instead Cosials and Perrote came together to rekindle their creative spirits to work on a new album.
The band’s fourth studio album will arrive on September 6 via Lucky Number and it will feature collaborations with Beck and Grian Chatten of Fontaines D.C., along with their first-ever Spanish language songs. VIVA HINDS was recorded in rural France and it was produced by Pete Robertson (Beabadoobee), while the GRAMMY-nominated Tom Roach handled the engineering and GRAMMY-winning engineer Caesar Edmunds (The Killers, Wet Leg) covered the mixing.
With the announcement also came a new single featuring Beck entitled “Boom Boom Back,” which arrives with an accompanying video. Check it out below.
