The popboy himself, Cash$tarr, has released a new project titled ‘TRAIN RIDE TO SOHO,’ featuring five anthemic and melodic tracks.
Having been released just a few weeks ago in December, this marks his only project for 2023 and undoubtedly showcases a subtle stylistic shift while simultaneously honing in on his signature sound.
The first track and lead single, “Copy N Paste,” features production from frequent collaborator Alex Redheart, offering a gritty, trap-tinged beat with sugary auto-tuned vocals from Cash. It’s evident that Cash$tarr’s singing voice has significantly improved; tracks like “Better Than Me” and “Come With Me” even evoke a sound reminiscent of the genre’s greats like Kid Cudi.
Producers Crisvvs, Sverango and the aforementioned Alex Redheart killed it as always and evolved alongside Cash$tarr in their production chops.
All in all, ‘TRAIN RIDE TO SOHO’ is another solid addition to Cash’s discography and is certainly worth a listen, showcasing his incredibly eclectic stylistic range.
