The highly eclectic and boundary-pushing Chicago artist, cam, has recently dropped a fresh single titled “pochita.” This track is reported to be another scrapped gem from their upcoming album, ‘Who Would I Be If I Never Let You Get Your Hands Around Me?’
Reminiscent of cam’s most recent single “Naked,” “pochita” combines pop-ambience with cloud rap vocals, aligning itself aesthetically with some of the genre’s frontrunners.
Lyrically cam does a great job of portraying their conflicting emotions while using some celestial imagery and sprinkling in some Chainsaw Man references like in the track’s title.
Behind the scenes, producer and engineer Sriram Iyer once again kills it, further proving the remarkable creative chemistry between the two.
Cam has taken to social media to announce that their upcoming album is ready and will be released in the coming weeks. Meanwhile, you can revisit “Naked,” a track we covered back in May right here.
