Man. It’s not often we get lucky enough to hear Uncle Al drop some of his undeniable raps but a few weeks back The Chemist blessed us with a loosie self-produced track entitled “Nothing Is Freestyle”.
Many people fail to realize or remember that Al used to rap before his evolution toward his current position as an undeniable “Mount Rushmore” producer of modern-day hip hop. He offers just over two minutes of excellence to remind us that he’s a crucial staple in the evolution of hip-hop as a whole.
The sample-based, rolling production offers the perfect base to build on, and he built a dope piece with this track. The ominous visuals also complement the audio perfectly, I’m ready to hopefully hear some more Alc raps soon.
“Solidified I’m gifted / Password protected the hard drive encrypted / I told the sample to lay on the ground and then I stripped it”
