The talented Chicago based artist IZZIHOT! has released an impressive new single titled, “Freaknik.” IZZIHOT! has been gaining momentum this year with his off-center pluggnb styled tracks that are reminiscent of the apex of hip-hop’s underground scene.
“Freaknik,” named after the famous disbanded Atlanta based spring break festival, displays a similar energy with boastful and fun lyrics. The production on the track is stripped back with glitchy 808s that fits IZZIHOT!’s laid back flow perfectly.
The track is mixed and mastered by Robert Mendioro over at Classick Studios where the track was also recorded. The video for “Freaknik” is slated to drop soon with creative direction handled by Dagz.
Needless to say, the reign of IZZIHOT! is just getting started. His eclectic range of style and cadence not only proves his versatility as an artist, but how impressive and diverse the Chicago music scene can be.
