Chicago based and multi-talented artist Galaxy Francis has unveiled his debut EP titled ‘iNNERGALACTiC: SiDE A.’
In this EP, Galaxy Francis showcases his passion for concept driven compositions, while incorporating some endearing comedic elements and clever wordplay.
Galaxy Francis, an artist who identifies as “Rap&B,” takes listeners on a spellbinding journey from his ethereal home planet Andromeda to planet Earth, better known as the “ANiMAL PLANET.”
Lots of love went into the rollout of the project beginning this February with lead single “THE SHiNiNG” (feat. Jay Wood). It quickly emerged as one of his most successful tracks to date and rightfully so. Galaxy’s vocal talent and production skills are at the forefront in this standout track, leaving no doubt that his virtuosity shines bright.
Tracks like the intro “AKA GALAXY – Freestyle” and the following skit “LiEUTENANT LiGHT” give way to some of Galaxy’s alter egos, Andromeda and Sir Francis. When speaking on this Galaxy said “…this first EP is a short stop on earth for a smoke and car ride before we meet Sir Francis. Francis is the singer, the lover, the more vulnerable one. He’s the more emotional of the two. There’s glimpses of Sir Francis on Side A in a couple spots but May 24th is Andromeda’s turn.”
Evident from its title and the statement above, we can anticipate another chapter in the ‘iNNERGALACTiC’ series, and we’re here for it. It’s inspiring to see local artists embracing a unique approach to their craft both in their creative content and musical output.
