Chicago based artist Fairys has dropped their first official release under their new moniker titled “10 percent.”
Fairys FKA Lucas Lex has entered a new musical era with this single championing an eclectic range of musical influences and styles.
Us at Pursuit of Dopeness were first made aware of Fairys’ music through their collaboration with Smba and WASTEDJU on track “Xo” this past December. Ever since then their musical sphere of projects and collaborations has caught our eye and their recent single “10 percent” further reassures us of their abilities.
“10 percent” is an incredibly dope single that builds on sounds from new wave to bedroom pop. The lo-fi charm of this track makes the high points detailing lyrics of a problematic relationship all the more rewarding.
The music video is directed by Tyrone Jordan also known as Smba as well as Fairys themself. They both do an incredible job on this one and its most definitely worth checking out.
“10 percent” is already a favorite of ours for the year and we cannot wait for more musical output in this new musical era from them.
