Foo Fighters are officially back. The band is announcing today they are coming out with a new album entitled But Here We Are, and it will arrive June 2 on Roswell Records/RCA Records.
A press release describes the album as a “brutally honest and emotionally raw response to everything Foo Fighters endured over the last year” and “a testament to the healing powers of music, friendship and family.” But Here We Are, the band’s 11th studio album was produced by Greg Kurstin and Foo Fighters.
The news also brings the album’s lead single, “Rescued.” The track has that traditional anthemic touch that the Foos are known to deliver, with buzzing guitars and razor sharp vocals from their fearless leader.
After taking some time off to mourn the tragic loss of Taylor Hawkins, Dave Grohl and crew let fans know the band would be active again this year with their inclusion on fest lineups like Bonnaroo, Outside Lands, & Harley-Davidson Homecoming plus their own headline dates. With the album arriving in early June, it’s likely that new material will make its way to setlists this tour.
