Dew from 2001 has released a new laid back and tranquil track titled “Waters of March.” Although Dew’s output has always been eclectic, the bossa nova styling of this track is most definitely a stylistic departure.
“Waters of March” is a cover from acclaimed Latin musician and songwriter Antônio Carlos Jobim. The cover lyrically follows the English translated version of Jobim’s track originally titled, “Aguas De Marco.”
Dew evolves from Jobim’s original by offering elements of vocal layering and a dreamier instrumental approach. Vocally Dew sounds incredible on the track, and hopefully this track leads to more music like this in the future.
The music on the track was done by Temple Drake, bass was done by Higueros (m.a.a.tt) and engineering from Zack Spreitzer, shoutout to all of them!
