Multimedia companies Real Ones and Juicebox Collective are presenting Lover’s Lane, a Valentine’s Day show celebrating some incredible up and coming Midwest talent.
All acts on the bill perpetuate a smooth and sweet sound in their music creating the perfect vibe for the holiday. While all aren’t originally from Chicago, they all have deep ties to the city making this show a one to remember.
Mamii is an artist that combines influences from across genre spectrums to create beautifully diverse and virtuous performances on each of her tracks. After her incredible performances on Westside Boogie’s 2022 project, ‘MORE BLACK SUPERHEROES’ it’s overwhelmingly clear that she has staying power.
Chicago singer and producer HXRY blends elements of neo-soul and R&B allowing him to create soulful and hypnotic soundscapes in his music. Newest track “OOOO AAH” is an incredible example of the evolution of R&B and will translate to a live setting very well.
Smba is one of our favorite artists coming out of the scene, constantly releasing incredibly eclectic and melodious tracks since they first broke out onto the scene just over four years ago. EP ‘Claustrophobic’ and latest single “Xo” proves Smba is an artist who is not only versatile, but tremendously talented at every sound they experiment with. Their set will be one you don’t want to miss.
The very talented Chicago based singer Akira Ræ is also billed to perform Lover’s Lane. Akira heavenly vocals are equally awe-inspiring as they are rich and raw. Tracks like “Free Flow” and “Afrodite” are excellent examples of this talent in action.
