Chicago based band the courts have released a new single titled “Amphibian” under indie label Maladaptive Records.
Us at Pursuit of Dopeness first became aware of the courts when they opened up for Joyfriend last October at Sleeping Village. We were immediately enamored by their abrasive energy and comfortability on stage since the newest iteration of the band was still relatively new.
Newest single “Amphibian” holds up to this tenfold, offering listeners a very unique and eclectic experience. “Amphibian” lays out soundscapes of psychedelia, garage and an almost krautrock experimentation.
This track and their recent headlining sets at Empty Bottle and Reggies are reasons why the courts are quickly becoming a premier name to be looking out for in the Chicago indie rock scene.
