The Empty Bottle in Ukrainian Village is hosting a free 21+ fundraiser event for Bric-a-Brac Records & Collectibles, a longtime hub for records and toys in the Avondale neighborhood of Chicago.
For those unaware, Bric-a-Brac’s new location was recently affected by a pipe burst over the holiday season, in turn damaging a good chunk of their inventory.
This fundraiser is a chance for supporters to sell or donate goods to Bric-a-Brac while simultaneously enjoying some good drinks and music. Bric-a-Brac took to social media to describe what they are in need of in terms of donations, “We need records, toys, VHS, cassettes, etc. Also if anyone happens to have any record bins laying around, we have a couple that need replacing.”
Additionally, the Bric-a-Brac team with the help of Chicago illustrator and designer Ryan Duggan, have released a shirt and tote bag to aid in recovery efforts available for pre-order here.
The event will feature DJs from Bric-a-Brac and horror themed coffee shop, The Brewed such as DJ Intel.
If you want to support Bric-a-Brac by selling/donating merchandise or simply just hanging out, RSVP and swing by The Empty Bottle tomorrow starting at 8PM.
