One of our favorite Chicago MCs, Femdot, returns in the third quarter of 2022 with an immaculate two-pack that absolutely reaches, if not surpasses, the bar Fem has set for himself throughout his polished discography. Fem brought along Saba and Chris Patrick, two contrasting features that both bring their unique twist to the beautiful production featured across the five minutes of ‘The Tour Pack’.
“Mount Olympus” features Femdot and Saba flowing over an instrumental that leaves a perfect amount of space for the artists to drop intricate verses on. Mount Olympus seems to be a metaphor for life itself as Fem and Sab detail how they’ve made it so far, and how they plan on making it in the future. The five-phrase chorus is simplistically beautiful and offers the message of “Long Live The Guys”. Femdot – “Never folded that’s probably why I started / Loving the sounds of my feet walking from things I shouldn’t be involved in”
“Los Tacos No. 1” is an absolute vibe. The uptempo boom-bap production will undoubtedly make you nod your head for the extent of the track. Femdot and Chris Patrick complement voices that came together perfectly on this cut. Fem’s relaxed flow contrasts Chris’ uptempo effort on this track and their verses make up a very interesting cut. Hoping to hear more collaborations from this pair in the near future!
