The dope Gorillaz and Thundercat collab now has a music video to give you another reason to justify how much you’re listening to this song.
The video for “Cracker Island” was directed by artist andĀ Gorillaz co-creator Jamie Hewlett and Fx Goby and it follows the gang and the prolific bassist in the waiting room of an LA hospital, facing some questioning from the cops. Though we don’t see what events led to this setting, the chyron for the news report on the tube says that the police had to intervene to bring an occult ceremony to an end. I also want to point out how Thundercat looked like was a real-life version of what his animated character would appear on Guitar Hero.

Murdoc said of the video via a press release:
Think of it as the final scene in the movie, the bit after the grand finale when the hero (me) is about to stride into the sunset, credits rolling. Thatās right, weāre starting at the end. Why? COS I WORK IN MYSTERIOUS WAYS.
