Northwest Indiana’s own Omar Apollo came back to his neighboring metropolis of Chicago once more thanks to his Desvelado Tour.
Tora-I and Deb Never were in charge of kicking things off, the latter of which we got to catch in full and appreciate. Deb Never was cool and it was great to see her bring the energy to get this crowd riled up.
Omar came out strong and energetic, dancing and swiveling his hips all night long. At one point of his set he sat down with his band and they all cracked open some Modelos and sang a couple of Spanish rolas acoustically while the entire crowd joined in. One of his bandmates whipped out a huge Mexican flag at the end and the crowd went crazy – that’s Chicago!
Omar Apollo treated his fans to performances of some of his most famous songs such as “Kickback,” “Hey Boy,” and one of his closing songs was “Tamagotchi” as well as songs from his debut album that just dropped, IVORY.
