Chicago underground legend Warhol.SS has released his second addition to the ‘Where’s Warhol’ series after nearly four years since his last full length project. With that being said, Warhol.SS has remained consistent in dropping music since his rise to fame in early 2017. Tracks like “On My Wrist” w/ Famous Dex and “Speed Racer” remind us of a beautiful era of underground hip-hop in Chicago. This project, in my eyes, is a culmination of all the sounds he has mastered over the years, featuring varying sounds of drill, trap and even some pluggnb.
The project only features two guest appearances, which can both be found on track “Blue 42”. CEO Trayle, an artist who has collaborated with Warhol.SS in the past, drops a hard verse towards the latter end of the track. Additionally, Texas artist Dc2trill is layered throughout the track rapping in somewhat of a Detroit style, something he and frequent collaborator Lil Yachty have mastered over the past few years.
Warhol.SS’ consistency is impeccable and his quality is only improving, we’d have to say that it’s only a matter of time until the world takes notice.
