Billie Eilish is a rock star, and you have to look no further than the musical performance portion of the 20-year old’s double-duty appearance on SNL this weekend.
The first half of “Happier Than Ever” starts with Eilish sitting as she gently sings that emotional introduction, and then after the walls are removed to reveal the crowd in the background, she turns it up a few notches. The acoustic guitar gets set aside, drums come into frame, strobe lights come into play, and then Billie gives the crowd a taste of her arena-ready energy.

Billie also performed “Male Fantasy” on the show, for which she was joined by her brother on acoustic guitar also sitting on the stage floor set up to look like they were back home jamming to a sad song together.
