Since its inception in 2006, the Red Bull SoundClash has had a history of bringing acts together to perform in a unique fashion. After 85 events and a decade-long hiatus, the Red Bull Music team finally announced the return of Red Bull SoundClash with a 2021 lineup comprised of four exciting events.
On November 30th, Shelley (fka DRAM) took on Westside Boogie in Atlanta. December 2nd marked the battle of The Sufferers against Tank and the Bangas. Bren Joy then took on Jake Wesley Rogers in Nashville on December 9th.
Chicago’s SoundClash on December 15th between Rico Nasty and Danny Brown closed out Red Bull’s USA SoundClash run on the highest note possible. Thousands of fans poured into Radius Chicago on a windy December evening to experience a concert unlike any other!
Rico and Danny were both presented with their own stage to perform on and fans were able to gravitate towards the Red Stage – Danny’s – or the Blue Stage – Rico’s. Fans gave each superstar a warm welcome as the show began with the cover and takeover rounds.
The artists commanded their respective stages throughout the evening before they presented their wildcard guests. Danny Brown first brought out fellow Bruiser Brigade member ZeLooperz to perform his high-energy track “Battery”. Then, Rico brought out Queen Key to perform her smash hit “My Way”.
The two headliners and their guests came together on the Red Stage to enjoy a few last tracks as the night closed with a downpour of confetti.
