Saturday of Riot Fest ’21 continued full-steam ahead with a packed lineup for attendees to enjoy. After Friday’s inconsistent weather, Saturday’s perfect conditions were much needed and appreciated. Prior to the festival’s start, Taking Back Sunday was unfortunately unable to perform but Chicago’s-own Rise Against happily took over and offered an amazing replacement set on Saturday evening.
GWAR and State Champs turned up the energy early in the afternoon before Vic Mensa took over the Riot Stage to perform his debut mixtape ‘Innanetape’ in full. Cuts like “Orange Soda” and “Hollywood LA (feat. Lili K)” were too dope to hear live; Vic will be performing on his eighth anniversary of ‘Innanetape’ at the Promontory, so be sure to check that out. With Run The Jewels, Rise Against, Dropkick Murphys, and Andrew W.K. headlining at the same time, there were plenty of amazing shows to close out the night with. Run The Jewels captured a large crowd at the Riot Stage and the duo performed a perfect set to close Saturday out.
