Video: The Strokes Bring Out Blood Orange in NYC For First Full Capacity Concert

The Strokes held their first full capacity, full show in over a year at Irving Plaza in their hometown in NYC last nite in support of the Maya Wiley for Mayor campaign. The concert not only gave a preview of what the band is preparing to give fans in upcoming festival appearances now incorporating songs from their 2020 comeback album, The New Abnormalto the setlist but also featured a dope guest appearance.

Although guitarist Nick Valensi had to miss out on the action, John Mulaney, Maya Wiley, AOC, all came out throughout the night for the fans in attendance. On top of all that, Blood Orange shared the stage with Julian Casablancas again to perform a stripped-down version of “One Way Trigger.” It was beautiful and now I’m jealous.
