Yo. Check This Dopeness Everywhere – Ep. 4

Episode 4 of our Yo. Check This podcast arrived on Friday, and with it came another “Dopeness Everywhere” segment during which we highlight anything else that we consider dope that’s not necessarily music-specific.

Check out the events and other random dopeness we highlighted on Episode 4 below.

Mortal Kombat (2021) – On HBO Max (with subscription) and in theaters

The iconic video game franchise is taking another stab at making a movie, with a 2021 reboot that looked promising from the second the trailer dropped.

Its classic characters are fighting to the death in a live-action film. What more do you need from an action movie?

If you’ve got an HBO Max subscription, stream it while it’s still available. But if you’re down to venture out to the theaters, you would benefit from seeing the dope fight scenes on a bigger sound and louder speakers.

Soccer concept jerseys

I just love soccer, so naturally I will like art pieces created around soccer. Lately I’ve been noticing a lot of interesting content produced around concept jerseys, so I had to bring show some love on the show.

The main account that caught my attention is @soccept, particularly because of the absolutely beautiful concept kit they created for the Argentina national. The attention to detail, the texture, and every design element (big and small) helps make this a thing of beauty. They of course have plenty other great kits that would make you want to start a petition for these sports apparel brands to commission some work.

The other account that’s doing something follow-worthy was @emmegraphic, thanks to their mix of concept soccer and basketball jerseys. Check out some notable pieces below.
