Isaiah Rashad fans, the wait is over. After a 5 year absence, the TDE member has returned with new single “Lay Wit Ya,” featuring Duke Deuce. Isaiah Rashad’s first new track since 2016 also helps set up the announcement of his highly-anticipated second full-length album, The House Is Burning, coming soon.
The production is mostly cool and collected, but then that bass drum comes stomping in to give the song presence, and right away you’ll react by having that stank face of approval. Isaiah Rashad was smooth on the mic, but Duke Deuce stole the show with the Southern bravado he brought to his verse all while flipping his flow as he deemed necessary. The song arrives with an accompanying music video directed by Omar Jones.
I’m telling ya right now, this is going to be one of my 4-for-4 picks for the next Yo. Check This podcast. I’m already hype for The House Is Burning to arrive.

Rashad shared via a press release:
This album was difficult.. I love music, but I don’t like to say shit. It’s almost like a game for me. It’s like working out. I don’t want to be redundant. Redundancy in general bothers me. Any song that I make, I usually make it in about 30 minutes to an hour, and that’s it. My ideas come to me immediately.
Also stating:
Music is where I go to express myself. It’s what I do to close a chapter. You know what’s crazy? I’m not even ashamed to say it…I really think my albums aren’t different from each other. Eventually, one of my albums will become a classic. I just love this shit. It’s me.
