The hotly-anticipated return of J. Cole is proving to be worth the hype. The Dreamville leader has dropped his new album The Off-Season, which is comprised of 12 tracks with guest appearances from 21 Savage, Lil Baby, Cam’ron, and more.
On the production side you also have a stellar cast of some of the best in the game with Timbaland, Boi-1da, T-Minus, Jake One, and Jermaine Cole himself.
The basketball motif is also strong on The Off-Season, which includes shout-outs to some of the NBA’s best ballers including LeBron James and Stephen Curry, Damian Lillard, Russell Westbrook, and the rising Ja Morant of the Memphis Grizzlies. It’s been reported that J. Cole is set to sign to play in the Basketball Africa League inaugural season for Rwanda’s Patriots Basketball Club, so this album is quite the way to get better acquainted with his new peers.
