Royal Blood are officially sharing today their song “Boilermaker,” a new cut from their forthcoming album Typhoons. The song has been a fan-favorite for some time now after Royal Blood gave it a live debut in the summer of 2019, including high profile sets at the Reading and Leeds Festivals in the UK, using the roll-out for the new project to deliver the hotly-anticipated studio version.
The song has plenty of focal points, from the thick and fuzzed-out bass lick while the snappy beat will make you want to strut your stuff. Shout out to Queens of the Stone Age frontman Josh Homme, who produced the track, who helped refine that dope stuff Royal Blood has been brewing for years.
The UK duo’s third full-length album Typhoons will be released on April 30th via Warner Records. Watch Royal Blood’s video, directed by Liam Lynch, for “Boilermaker” above.
RB’s Mike Kerr commented via a press release:
I had ‘Boilermaker’ up my sleeve and it felt like a very natural decision to go and cut that track at his studio. Josh is such a strong-willed character. He gave us such confidence in ourselves.
