Vic Mensa has released his latest project, I TAPE. The seven-track release includes features from Dixson, Tish, Zacari, Eryn Allen Kane, Wyatt Waddell, Chance The Rapper, and Wyclef Jean.
Peter CottonTale contributes orchestration across the release, while Just Blaze, Smoko Ono, SC, and Vic himself provide production.
Mensa stated via the press release:
The I TAPE is a cry for freedom, a visceral look into the soul of a man in America… Lyrically I wanted to explore themes of rebellion and incarceration, weaving real stories with hard truths.
The new project is being released with the new music video for “FR33DOM” by Chris Simmons which made its network premiere on BET. Watch it below.
