Eddie Huang (Fresh Off the Boat author) is set to make his directorial debut with BOOGIE, set to arrive in theaters on March 5.
BOOGIE is a coming-of-age story of Alfred “Boogie” Chin, a kid from Queens, New York chasing his dream of making it to the NBA while dealing with the pressures of his parents’ expectations and rivalries. The movie stars Taylor Takahashi as the lead (Alfred “Boogie” Chin) along with the late Pop Smoke playing the ball court antagonist, Monk.
