Whenever someone asks me who I recommend they should start listening to, my response always includes Ric Wilson, and that is only made easier the more he keeps releasing dope music. The Chicago artist is releasing today his new “Trunk Music,” along with its accompanying music video.
As revealed in the press release, Wilson debuted the track live at Pitchfork Music Festival in 2019 while being backed by the Lane Tech high school marching band.
While Wilson’s vocals are the song’s greatest asset, you’ve got to share the praises with LPXIV for producing the track and Sam Veren (trumpet), Niko the Great (keys), and Reggie Got Beats (key bass) helping with the instrumentation.
