Pivot Gang’s Frsh Waters is one of Chicago’s dopest upcoming talents. He’s been quiet for a little while now, but he’s back, this time releasing a two-pack entitled Frsh Flowers.
Frsh Flowers is made up of two tracks, “OTW” (produced by DaeDaePivot and mixed/mastered by Papi Beatz) and “Roses” (produced by berlo, mixed by Matt from Classick, and mastered by Papi Beatz). Each track has its own vibe but both are absolutely uptempo cuts.
“OTW” revolves around a beautiful, chopped-up vocal sample; Frsh is able to effortlessly flow over uptempo drums and a cold bass line. “Roses” feat. Ohana Bam carries a different kind of energy, listeners are guaranteed to perform a constant head-nod throughout this dope track. Frsh’s impressive, hi-hat-like rhyme cadence is addicting to listen to, he utilizes unique pockets within instrumentals to impress with intricate bars.
