Today, we’re premiering “Divine Insanity,” the latest track from emerging musician Zach Tabori. The song has a lot of pep and it’s so catchy, with an earworm quality that will make you put this on repeat and will have you humming the melody in no time. If you’re a sucker for “happy” sad songs, this one’s for you.
Tommy Mars, best known as the keyboardist for none other than Frank Zappa, features on the track.
Tabori provided us with a little insight into how his new track came to life:
Divine Insanity’ is a song about being sick of normalcy. Your mind reaches its breaking point and you feel a mixture of anxiety, fear, the desire to scream and the desperate need to create Beatles-derived music. I felt it was another ‘Pandemic appropriate song.’ COVID circumstances have destroyed normalcy for millions of people and forced them to reach this breaking point, whether they want to or not. I think music and humor can oftentimes be the best way to reflect the horrors of our society in a way that’s more enjoyable to process.
“Divine Insanity” will appear on Tabori’s new EP Pandemic Ballads, which is set to arrive on October 29 via his own label Flesh Fury.
