Kali Uchis is blessing the first day of October with her latest song “La Luz,” featuring Jhay Cortez. The song was produced by Tainy, and it was co-written by Uchis, Cortez, and Tainy in a Miami studio for the Colombian songstress’ first Spanish language project.
Kali Uchis shared this statement about the track via the press release:
‘La Luz’ is about the inevitable—that moment when you set your sights on someone and can’t wait to do everything freaky imaginable with them… I was so excited to make my version of a Latin pop song because there’s no other song like it on my upcoming album. I love Jhay and Tainy’s music so I was honored to get in the studio with them.
Uchis is one of my favorite artists these last few years and seeing her do her thing in Spanish only adds to the reasons to admire her.
