Boston-native Cousin Stizz is back with two super dope new loosies, entitled “Crocodile Tears” and “Mac Roni”.
Cousin Stizz has been one of my favorites for years now. I got to cover him at North Coast a few years back and he put on an amazing live set. Stizz really showcases his rapping ability in a live setting. Since one of his earliest efforts in Suffolk County, I’ve been a fan… I really dig all of his projects, his general consistency is impressive and he never seems to falter in quality.
“Crocodile Tears” is a hit! Dreamy trap production fits Stizz’s light-hearted yet braggadocious style so well, he flows over this dope production nicely. His hook game has always been dope, these singles are no exception.
“Mac Roni” gives me heavy Bari vibes. Thanks to a bouncy 808 pattern, this production warrants a constant head-nod with every listen. Stizzy shows off his versatility between these two singles, I can’t wait to see what he’ll offer within his next full-length.
