Aluna, of Aluna George fame, has formally announced her debut solo album, Renaissance. Today she’s releasing a new track called “Get Paid,” which samples an iconic Dancehall joint and features Princess Nokia and Jada Kingdom.
Speaking about “Get Paid,” Aluna shared the following via the press release:
is an aspirational celebration about black women and women of color getting paid, in opposition of the reality that we are consistently undervalued for our work.
