Community continues having a strong cult following years after its final episode aired in 2015, and now its fans are being rewarded with a reunion!
The cast of the show, including the breakout star of the series Donald Glover, is the latest to come together for a reunion in light of the COVID-19 pandemic. Former castmates Joel McHale, Alison Brie, Glover, Danny Pudi, Gillian Jacobs, Yvette Nicole Brown, Ken Jeong, and Jim Rash plus creator creator Dan Harmon will be doing a table read of the episode called “Cooperative Polygraphy.” The season 5 bottle episode revolves around the study group learning what Pierce (Chevy Chase) left for them in his will.
The table read will raise money for José Andrés’ World Central Kitchen and Frontline Foods to support COVID-19 relief efforts. The table read will be available on the Sony Pictures Television Community YouTube page on Monday, May 18 at 2 p.m. PT.
But before that arrives, the cast hopped on a Zoom call for a special episode of McHale and Jeong’s Darkest Timeline Podcast that fans can check out. The cast shared anecdotes about being on the series, crossing paths in the years after the show ended its run, and how huge certain castmembers have become. While all the joking around was nice to watch, perhaps the funniest part of the episode came when Glover learned that there was a Community group chat, and that he wasn’t in it.
