NWSL side Portland Thorns FC are releasing their new home and away kits for the 2020-21 season, designed by Nike.
The visual identity that drives this design is what makes these special. The black home jersey features large roses as a nod to the “City of Roses” nickname for which Portland is known. The white jersey has an all-over thorns graphic to represent the team’s namesake.
Both kits feature “B.A.O.N.” printed on the inner neck, paying tribute to their fans’ favorite phrase, “By Any Other Name.”
