Ric Wilson and Terrace Martin are announcing today They Call Me Disco, their collaborative EP that will be arriving May 8th via Free Disco/Sounds of Crenshaw/EMPIRE.
The Chicago artist and his LA-based producer/musician counterpart are offering with this news their lead single “Chicago Bae,” which showcases the retro vibes. Ted Chung & J Trx are co-producers on the new track and features BJ The Chicago Kid. The smooth joint is soulful and funky, with Wilson giving his love interest a little rundown of the local-local attractions they can visit if he becomes “Chicago Bae,” which includes stops at the Harold’s on Halsted and picnic-ing out in Beverly.
This instantly lands on my list of most-anticipated projects of the year!
