Protomartyr are sharing today their new single/video, “Worm In Heaven,” the latest cut off of their forthcoming album, Ultimate Success Today.
The band had originally announced a May 29 release date, which today is confirmed to be pushed by to July 17. But while the album is only being impacted by being postponed, Protomartyr’s scheduled 2020 tour dates are suffering a much worse fate by being cancelled. Ticket buyers should seek refunds at the point of purchase.
Check out the new tune below.
The music video was directed by Trevor Naud and it features a collection of abstract still images stitched together. As the press release highlights, this was inspired by the 1962 Chris Marker short film La Jetée and was shot using limited resources, mainly a 35mm film camera, with no film crew.
