Trippie Redd hit the Riv on the 8th to perform for a sold-out crowd supporting his “Love Me More Tour”. After dropping A Love Letter to You, Vol. 4 just a few months back, he’s embarked on a country-wide tour that’ll extend through mid-March.
Blocboy JB and Kodie Shane supported Trippie as openers, both had the pit and balcony bouncing early on. The artists provided unique performances but Kodie Shane had the most impressive opening set. Kodie had great stage presence and although she played cuts most of the crowd hadn’t heard before, the crowd vibed with it and she definitely gained some new fans.
Trippie came out to a sold-out crowd and gave every ounce of energy he had throughout this performance. His long set enabled him to run through most of A Love Letter To You, Vol. 4 while also giving original fans a performance of some old hits such as “Topanga” and “1400/999 Freestyle”. Equipped with a dope stage set-up consisting of theatrical smoke and fog as well as pyrotechnics, Trippie put on an absolute show as he held nothing back.
This show was the first of two Chicago dates on the tour, be sure to catch him back at the Riv on the 13th if you’re around but be sure to grab tickets soon.
