Multi-instrumentalist producer/DJ Sango came thru to the Bottom Lounge alongside some of his closest western Michigan collaborators for a night of amazing music.
Grand Rapids-native Waldo opened up the show with an eclectic set comprised of older cuts as well as tracks off of his latest offering, Grove. He’s got a plentiful amount of raw talent and his music showcases that talent throughout. We got to talk to Waldo after the show about his musical upbringing as well as his future plans, be on the lookout for that interview that’ll drop soon.
Next up was an uptempo DJ set from one of Grove‘s executive producers, Savon. His high-energy set got the crowd nice and warmed up for Sango’s headlining set. Sango came out and had the nearly sold-out crowd moving all throughout his set. From flipping Playboi Carti’s “Kid Cudi” to spinning collaborations with various Soulection members like Smino, Sango’s set had a little bit of everything. Be sure to catch all of these artists on the tour before it closes out.
