Jehnny Beth, of Savages, is going solo for her next musical release. The French artist will release her debut solo album, entitled To Love Is To Live, on May 8th, 2020 via Caroline Records.

The album was recorded in Los Angeles, London, and Paris and will feature contributions from the likes of producers Flood, Atticus Ross, and longtime co-creator Johnny Hostile, along with guest appearances from the xx’s Romy Madley Croft, actor Cillian Murphy, and Joe Talbot from IDLES.

Along with this announcement, we’re getting a new song and a tour in support of the solo project. The first cut off To Love Is To Live is called “Flower” and as the press release points out, it was written about a pole dancer at LA strip club Jumbo’s Clown Room, which explains the soft texture and sensuality the track it exudes.

Jehnny Beth will be playing select shows throughout 2020. After making appearances at music festivals across Europe, she’ll be making a few stops in North America including Minneapolis, Toronto, Montreal, and Philadelphia.
