Halsey has shared her new single entitled “You Should Be Sad” along with its accompanying music video. The song is a new cut off her third studio album, Manic, which will be released next Friday, January 17 via Capitol Records.
The music video was directed by Colin Tilley and it’s set in a barn at night and the whole clip follows this farm thing but making it sexy, like the steamy session of line dancing and some skimpy outfits by everyone in attendance (just look at the thumbnail used for YouTube). While it looks like it’s all fun and games while rolling around in the hay, the subject matter of “You should be sad” leaves little to the imagination as to how she feels about ending this relationship.
