Billie Eilish can now add director to her CV. One of the artists of the year, Billie Eilish has shared her new music video for “xanny,” which also serves as her directorial debut.
The striking thing about this one is the creative direction for the visual, which not only includes some flinch-inducing shots of cigarettes being put out on the singer’s face, but it also shows the teenaged rising star clad in cream-colored clothing while also sporting a more conventional hair color while all this happens. What a way to portray everything that’s considered “normal.”
Billie says via the new video’s press release:
