Snoh Aalegra kicked off her Fall 2019 North American tour here in Chicago and we got to be in the building to capture some shots thanks to longtime POD contributor, Mikayla Delson.
The Swedish singer’s performance at Park West this past Thursday was in support of her latest album, Ugh, those feels again. Supporting her were Giveon, who was out on tour for the first time, along with Baby Rose. We last saw Snoh just last year when she performed at Sub-T, so it was incredible of her to not only make the jump up to bigger venue like Park West, but to see so many more people come out in droves for her to pack the house. You love to see that kind of growth as an artist just one year later.
Among the highlights of the night were when Snoh introduced her song “Time” as a tribute to her dad who passed away from cancer, which made it so much more powerful when she performed it and brought some people to tears (including Mikayla). She closed her set with an encore of her emotive hit single “I Want You Around,” bringing to an end a great set.
