Maryland-based rapper and songwriter Logic came thru to the Allstate Arena in Rosemont for the last stop on hisĀ Confessions of a Dangerous Mind tour.
Logic brought along some huge openers for this tour; YBN Cordae and J.I.D came out to warm the house up. Cordae ran through tracks off of his debut album,Ā The Lost Boy,Ā such as “Have Mercy” and “RNP”. For such a seemingly young and new artist, Cordae has spectacular stage presence; he seemed to embrace this arena tour alongside Logic and take advantage of the moment. Then came J.I.D who played tracks off of his debut, The Never Story, along with some hit tracks off of Dreamville’s latest collaborative albumĀ Revenge of the Dreamers IIIĀ and his latest,Ā DiCaprio 2.Ā J.I.D’s a unique talent. He’s got spectacular technical musical skills with the ability to make hit after hit. If you haven’t seen him live yet, you’ve get out to one of his shows.
Then came headliner Logic who came out alongside a three-piece band and his day-one DJ, DJ Rhetorik. The crowd dug the opening performances but his fans were clearly there to support Logic and his latest music. As he came out, surrounded by a massive stage set-up, Logic immediately provided energy within his performance. Logic played tracks from albums as far back atĀ The Incredible True StoryĀ but mostly showcased his latest effortĀ Confessions of a Dangerous Mind. He reminded the crowd that he stood for “Peace, Love, and Positivity” and he relayed those values upon his audience throughout his performance. Logic has a newborn on the way and said that this show was the last one for a while; he was sure to temporarily end his tour life on a good note.
