Talented electronic duo Matt and Kim brought loads of energy to The Riviera Theatre on the 10th-anniversary tour of their breakout album, Grand. Although the Riv is a pretty large venue, the duo made it an intimate show for anyone in attendance.
Supporting Matt and Kim was San Diego-based band Beach Goons who played a dope garage-rock set to get the crowd prepped for the headliners.
Matt and Kim have a unique energy that enables them to put a smile on every fan’s face as soon as they step on stage. Opening up with one of their hits, “Daylight”, the audience quickly recognized the familiar piano riff and began to sing their lungs out. After killing “Daylight”, the duo had a quick moment with the audience permitting everyone to go crazy throughout the show and that was most definitely the case. Fans were sure to dance and sing hits off of Grand word for word, there wasn’t a person in the building having anything but a good time.
Equipped with a dope stage production, Matt and Kim seemed to do nothing wrong in this set. I’d say this was one of the most energetic performances I’ve been able to witness! Check out the photos below.
