Bastille is on the rise and on the road. It had been over three years since the London quartet’s last full album release, with “Wild World” topping the charts worldwide in 2016.
2019 proved to be an even better year for Bastille, as they released their fourth studio album, “Doom Days”, following the massive Marshmallow-produced single, “Happier” that propelled them to a #1 hit and an even bigger spotlight than before.
Bastille tours are bigger and better because of it. Hitting the road with Joywave, the two alternative groups provide a night of music that leaves you feeling like part of the performance.
Joywave opens with their usual banter and goes through hits “Tongues” and the self-proclaimed best song on the planet, “Destruction”, en route to making way for Bastille to run through a jam-packed setlist with songs dating back to 2012.
It has long been known that Joywave and lead man Daniel Armbruster have been a Seattle fan-favorite, but following their tour stop at Wamu Theater, Dan Smith & co. are making a run for the city’s hearts.
