Vampire Weekend’s Father of the Bride Tour is in its early stages right now but it’s already delivering something worth talking about. For their stop in the Indiana capital, Ezra Koenig and company paid homage to the state via its most recent Pop culture entity.
Vampire Weekend played a cover of the Parks and Recreation theme while jamming their 2008 song “M79.” But it wasn’t just about the fictional city of Pawnee that helped make this come to be, since Rashida Jones, who famously played Ann Perkins on the show, had a child with Koenig.
