Thom Yorke has a new solo album coming out this year, and today’s official announcement reveals it is entitled ANIMA and it will be released June 27 via XL Recordings. The album will have a physical release on Friday July 19th, with the vinyl version including the bonus track “Ladies & Gentlemen, Thank You for Coming.”
The digital release will include a “one-reeler” of the same name, which was directed by Paul Thomas Anderson and is set to three of the album’s songs. Check out the teaser trailer below via Netflix.
The album was written by Yorke and produced by Nigel Godrich, his partner in Tomorrow’s Modern Boxes with Tarik Barri (this group being used as the vehicle to debut some of these ANIMA tracks during their live performances).
