I was lucky enough to be in Chicago’s Aragon Ballroom for the Wu-Tang Clan’s 36 Chambers 25th Anniversary Tour. Opening up for Wu were the Soul Rebels and Reignwolf. Both acts brought the energy and got the crowd hyped up to see some of hip-hop’s biggest names.
The Clan finally came out and it was to “Bring Da Ruckus,” which really had the crowd bouncing. Members of the group came out one by one and finally the stage was filled with most of the original members, including Ghostface Killah, Inspecta Deck, Gza, Rza, Method Man, & Raekwon. A packed crowd had their W’s up for the majority of the show, while the group ran through the 36 Chambers as well as sprinkling-in some other hits throughout their set. It was an absolute honor to be in the building with these guys and I really hope to see them again before they stop touring.
